The Student Union of Slobomir P University (SUSPU) is a student representative body of the University, whose main objectives are: improving the quality of studies as well as the position of students in society, improvement of student standards, informing students, establishing communication and cooperation with student organizations, universities and faculties in our country as well as abroad, organizing humanitarian, cultural and sports events for students, affirmation of students and their engagement into society.
SUSPU is currently in a process of integration into Student Union of Republic of Srpska (SURS). This is of great significance for the students of Slobomir P University, because this way, the considerable gap between BiH and RS state and private universities and their students will be bridged.
Plans of the Union for the near future include: Blood Donation Action, open lectures on various addiction diseases, promotion of the Union in big student and high-school centers such as Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Foca, Brcko, etc, taking part in seminars organized by other youth and student organizations in RS and BiH. Some of the events our students already participated are The Scientific-Research Congress of RS students, organized by Student Parliament of Banja Luka University, and the Assembly of RS Youth Council, under the auspice of RS Ministry of Youth and Sports. In order to take part in an event such as these, students need to be members of the Student Union.
Every student of Slobomir P University automatically becomes the member of the Student Union, when entering the first year of studies. Obligations of the Union members are stipulated by the Book of Regulations on member obligations. Some of them are: participating in projects, seminars and meetings of the Union, or some other youth or student organization, giving new ideas and suggestions.
