Dear student, It is our honor and pleasure to address you and briefly introduce you to Slobomir P University, as the manager of this Institution. This is the first private university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is comprised of six departments operating simultaneously in two campuses: Slobomir and Doboj. The campus in Slobomir, a new town near Bijeljina, provides students with best conditions for their studies, far from the commotion of the city, with tranquility, greenery, and gurgle of the Drina River. Opposed to this, our campus in Doboj is an ideal place for those enjoying the crowd of the city, since our University is situated in the very centre, near the old fort and a new, modern park. Our University is governed by high standards, and we aspire to educate young people, who will be able to live up to all the challenges their careers and lives set before them. We boast a finest selection of most distinguished and competent lecturers. They achieve marvelous results in their areas of research as well as in their teaching. All our facilities are modern and study conditions are excellent. Students have access to well equipped classrooms, restaurants, computer laboratories, libraries, sports grounds, etc. Our two education centers in Slobomir and Doboj are also virtually and electronically connected through an optical link. SPU is one of the rare Universities in this region which provides such a work environment, where professors, thanks to the small groups they work with, can get to know each student very well, cooperate closely with them and stimulate their creativity and talents to their maximum capacity. Work in these groups is always relaxed, pleasant and friendly. For you, our students, we organized a three year program in the Department of Economy and Management in English. I hope this short introduction managed to catch your attention and rouse your curiosity about the work of the SPU. We are looking forward to our future cooperation! |
